During a period of last year the society organized in collaboration with Department of Chemistry, Tri-Chandra Campus and Nepal Academy of Science and Technology – one in Jan. 2007 and the other in June 2007. More details will be provided separately in this bulletin.
Recently, Nepal Chemical society took initiative to launch a research laboratory in order to attract university teachers and young researchers in chemical researches. The laboratory, which focuses on the investigation of natural drugs, was inaugurated on May 30, 2007 by Prof. Dr. Mohan Bikram Gewali, director of Research Centre for applied Science and Technology (RECAST), T.U. The expenses of the laboratory setup were collected from the members of the society.
